The old part of Nicosia is a real pleasure to visit. Life is set at a slower pace than the rest of the capital. The paved area induces a laid back, cozy feeling to its visitors.

If you wander around, you will see sights of times gone by. Elderly people lazing in the sun while attending to their little shops that sell traditional products, difficult to come across.

You will also see the children of the nearby Phaneromenis and Pagkyprion schools happily playing all around their school, safe from the hassle and bustle of the rest of the city. A true reminder of how things were, never to return.
